MyPart enables songwriters to pitch their song to artists signed with different record labels. If the artists and their teams are interested in your songs, we'll help you negotiate the best publishing deal for that song. You'll receive royalties and the door will be opened to work on other songs for additional artists. If you’re an artist, yourself, you’ll have the chance to be featured in a song, be signed by a label, etc. Besides collaborating with record labels, other music supervisors are looking to place songs with other opportunities in the TV/Film, advertising and gaming industries.

MyPart collaborates with several artists across various genres. The colorful images on the SongSource grid represent artists from Warner Music and Def Jam Recordings for whom MyPart has been granted official permission (by the artists/their label) to collect songs. You may submit your songs to any of these enabled artists. The greyed-out images indicate artists for whom MyPart does not yet have official approval to collect songs. However, you may submit an ”invitation” for these artists. Artists who receive a substantial amount of “invitations” will be the ones we next aim to bring aboard to MyPart. We’ve also added the “Wildcard” feature - this feature allows songwriters to pitch their songs on SongSource without selecting a specific recording artist. The active pitching period is three months. If your song is not selected within 3 months, it will be transferred to the “Wildcard” queue and become available to all Songmine artists and opportunities!

We don’t believe in good and bad songs, we believe in the right song for the right artist at the right time. The matching process is subjective, and will depend on the artist’s current needs and requirements. If you're insecure about which artist to pitch to, we recommend listening to recently released albums/records by each of the artists for whom we collect songs, and try to tailor your writing to one of their styles/bodies of work. All artists and their teams have different references. Can you visualize the artist singing your song? If you can, consider pitching your song to them. We believe that you are in the best position to make the artistic decision regarding who should use your songs. This is why we believe you should pitch each song to a specific recording artist. However, if you can't decide, you can pitch your song to the Wild Card! Our WildCard feature allows songwriters to pitch their songs on SongSource without selecting a specific recording artist. Simply head to the SongSource Portal and click on the grey question mark icon, labeled “Wildcard.” Mypart’s AI will then be tasked with trying to find the most suitable match for the submitted song.

We recognize that it can be difficult to choose a specific artist to pitch your songs to. That’s why we’ve added the “Wildcard” feature to our SongSource Platform. This feature allows songwriters to pitch their songs on SongSource without selecting a specific recording artist. Simply head to the SongSource Portal and click on the grey question mark icon, labeled “Wildcard.” Mypart’s AI will then be tasked with trying to find the most suitable match for the submitted song, meaning the song becomes available to all Songmine artists and opportunities!

Subscription to MyPart costs $10 (USD) per month, granting you the ability to submit three songs monthly. This fee covers the processing fees and demonstrates our dedicated effort to maximize opportunities for your songs on our platform. Rest assured, you have the freedom to cancel your subscription at any time, and there is no need to provide payment details during the registration process. We want to emphasize that we will never contact you to request credit card information.

You can pitch an original song demo, remix, song lyrics, or a video of you performing your song. The more developed a song, (lyrics + composition/production), the stronger a shot it has of being placed.

MyPart provides admin and publishing services for songwriters who are not registered with any PRO. If your song is successfully matched to a performing artist and they are interested in working with you, MyPart will help you register with a PRO (such as ASCAP or BMI) to collect your royalties.

Yes, however please be mindful that songs that are made public during the submission period could be considered “already released”/covers, which may dissuade the artist to whom you are pitching from using the song.

MyPart currently only supports submissions via laptop or desktop computer. SongSource is not yet mobile-compatible.

You should own any song that you submit. However, you may submit a song you've co-written with another songwriter, granted you've obtained their permission to upload the song.

If MyPart creates a successful match between a songwriter and a recording artist (+ his/her team), a deal will be directly negotiated between the songwriter/rightsholder and the music executive representing the artist. The terms of such a deal may vary/will be contingent on the particular opportunity (the artist /label/project/movie that wants your song). All aspects of the deal are negotiable. If the artist to which you have submitted does not select the submitted song in the allotted time frame, the songwriter still has the opportunity to get “matched” with publishing companies that partner with MyPart to offer publishing deals to the songwriters on the SongSource platform. At this stage, one of these publishing companies in particular, Seeker Music, will have a transferable, first refusal /matching right to offer a single song publishing agreement to the songwriter. In other words, if you, the songwriter, are ultimately offered a publishing deal, Seeker will try to match it. If Seeker is unable/unwilling to match, the songwriter may sign the alternative offer (which needs to be a valid publishing offer). Read more about it here. It is important to note that throughout this entire process, you, the songwriter, will retain control on deciding whether or not you would like to work with MyPart or any of the publishing companies with whom we partner.

Rest assured, the platform is secure and your submissions are private. We store everything on Amazon’s highly secured cloud server, and only people who have been authorized by MyPart to have access to the material (i.e. the recording artist’s official creative team and the MyPart team) can view/listen to it. We also have a digital record of when you submitted your song and a dedicated tech team- all with a background in cyber security - that can present a report as proof of your ownership of your material.

Choose an enabled artist (indicated by the colorful images). We work with several recording artists across various genres. 3. Submit an original song, remix, lyrics or a video of you performing your song! The song does not need to be mixed and mastered, but must be in mp3/wav format. 4. Send your song directly to the artists and their creative teams. You'll get to name your track, include a short description, (a one-liner that best describes your song) and add its lyrics. If the song is instrumental, please leave the lyrics field blank. 5. Sit back and let us do the rest for you!

Add a one-liner that best describes your song. You have up to 77 characters to best describe your song to the performing artist’s representatives. Please avoid including any personal details - we want the artist to focus on your song, rather than who you are.

We will be sure to notify you if an executive reviews your song. You will also be notified at the conclusion of the 3 month (from submission) search period, even if your song was not reviewed or matched. From this point on, your song will remain in our catalogue and you will still be updated if it does get reviewed. Furthermore, all songwriters will have access to our SongCrunch tool, which gives you a comprehensive analysis report of all your song’s unique traits, including prominent themes, employed literary devices, its primary harmonic, melodic and productional features, and more!

If you are already a member of BMI, ASCAP, SESAC or any other PRO (Performance Rights Organizations), MyPart will reach a co-publishing agreement for your specific song when it is successfully placed with an artist. If you are not listed in any PRO, however, MyPart offers to provide this service for you. These organizations don’t issue copyrights, they just collect money when someone uses one of your copyrights.

MyPart does not screen or listen to the submitted songs. Rather, we sort and prioritize the songs according to specific parameters defined by the performing artists and their respective teams. Sometimes we have a listen to some of the songs for quality control.

Once you’ve submitted a song, it is processed with MyPart's AI and sent to the relevant representative of the performing artist. If your song gets reviewed, you will be notified. In any case, you will get a response on your submitted song within three months. The active pitching period is three months. If your song is not selected within 3 months, it will be transferred to the “Wildcard” queue and become available to all Songmine artists and opportunities!

Once a song is submitted to MyPart, we have the right to pitch it exclusively for a period of 3 months. During that time, we will be actively representing and promoting your work. After that 3 month period, the song will remain in our catalogue, and will appear whenever it is deemed a suitable match for an executive’s creative brief/benchmark of reference songs. While your song is originally pitched to a specific artist, it can be matched with a different artist as well. For example, if you pitch a song to Alessia Cara, it may still appear in Kelly Clarkson's queue. If Kelly Clarkson’s representatives are interested in your song, you will be notified. You, the songwriter, will always have the right to refuse any type of collaboration or song placement.

You have the right, at any time, to remove your song from our platform. Simply log in to your account, select the song you wish to remove, click on the red pen in the right corner of the player, and scroll down to find the "Edit song / Delete submission" button.

Yes, they do! All content submitted on our platform (per A&R for each performing artist) is viewable in a highly tailored smartphone app accessible only by the A&R folks who will be looking through the submitted material.

We recommend that you submit as many songs as you like, as long as it isn’t the same song or a different version of the song that is similar to what was submitted before during the 3 month period of exclusivity. We currently offer all songwriters three free song submissions for the first three months. After this the service costs 10$ USD for three song submissions a month. When logged in, you can see your submitted content with general details about the amount of times viewed, etc. Every interesting update will be sent via email.

Your submissions are private. No one other than the official creative team of the artist to whom you’ve pitched (and the Mypart team), has access to your work. We also have a digital record of when you submitted your song and who has listened to it. MyPart also has a dedicated tech team with a background in cyber security that works to secure your songs.

You can always unsubscribe and/or delete your account with MyPart. All you need to do is drop us a line at my_art@mypart.com.
